With heartfelt thanks to Sallie for inspiring me today ... I've made my DH's birthday card! I bought this 12x12 years ago and today it saw a craft knife - whoopee! I added faux stitching to one banner (the reverse of the cardstock) before embossing with the bark EF. The other banner is my own idea of faux leather ... it's actually the inner base of my punnet of blueberries (Susan's influence working here I think) and it die cut the numbers perfectly. A bit of string and candy to finish. And yes, he is younger than me .... lol ...

Ha, ha, ha! Love the story and love the card! The contrast between the textures and the patterns is fabulous. I also like the scale of those elements. Perfect card for a perfect hubs! I know he has a great sense of humor...he'll love you let the 12x12 age...just like a fine wine!
