I was inspired by the colors in this image on our inspiration site this week (thank you Audrie and Geni ) - and thought they would make a great celebration shaker card: http://totalwallcovering.com/p23311/...wallpaper.aspx
Die cut the balloon shape and balloon frame and inlaid both into the pp, attached an acetate panel on the back, and put lots of dimensional tape on the card front (especially around the balloon shape). Embossed the sentiment flag and attached to pp (on dimensional tape), die cut "hooray" in 2 colors and slightly offset them before adhering them to the pp and acetate balloon front. Attached floss "string" and bow. Laid lots of sequins on the card front into the space that would be the balloon, and then attached pp (very carefully) to the card.

Maura - what a fun card! I love the black and white and red (and pink) color scheme. Such a great card. I'm so glad you played along with this week's Balloon Theme Challenge at the Global Design Project - thanks!

Love the repeated round shapes and those gorgeous colours! Thanks for the detailed instructions. I've not yet tried a shaker card but I may get there yet with this inspiration to go by! Wonderful card!
