What wonderful wallpaper samples for today's Inspiration Challenge! I was inspired by all the fabulous color in THIS. I was also inspired by a painting I saw somewhere that had a lot of bright color like this.
My background was done w/ Brushos water color crystals on water color paper. I did a few washes but since the water colors are powder/crystal form, I wet the areas first, sprinkled a little of the color I wanted (the first was the turquoise), then worked them a bit w/ the paint brush. In most cases, I let the previous color dry before I moved to the next color. Toward the end, I added some almost dry brush strokes in some areas & I helped the yellow drip on down the page.
Since it really made no sense to have a detailed image, I put the tandem bicycle in my Misti, stamped it few times (to get good coverage, since the paper has texture) then used a black Tombow marker (water based) to fill it in and make a silhouette out of it. A white gelly roll pen was used to add the highlights on the bike. It was then die cut a couple of times w/ a white layer inserted in between & the greeting added on top.
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups are on my blog: The Write Stuff

The sense I get from your background is the sun coming out after the rain. You washed the rainbow down onto the earth. Wow, lots of patience, thought and technique. Very cool.
