Well, this challenge was timely - I coloured a few images when I was away on holidays, this was one of them - and today I made this card for Valentine's Day.
I coloured my image with copics, the red rose is a little deeper than it appears on the photo. I sponged around the image in pumice stone ink, while still in the die. Added a computer generated sentiment and the heart gem. Very quick to put together.

Ah Sue, this is so adorable!! I just love your puppy, he is a darling! Love your little shiny heart at the top! The sponging and that color is perfect as well! Love it my sweet friend!

This is such a cute card, Sue. You did a wonderful job coloring that cute little pup. The big red rose really makes this pop out of the gallery. Into my favs.
