After some head scratching I remembered I have some (never used) washi tape that came with a Papermania Capsule Collection.
I drew around the butterfly die for reference and layered the washi tape over the outline and die-cut. I shaped the wings over a pencil, and only glued the body to the card. I popped the panel up with foam tape.

I really like your washi tape...it's so pretty and tasteful. And I LOVE the idea of using it together with the butterfly die cut..that is genius!! GREAT card!!!

What a fab way of adding colour to the butterfly - and if you're like me, you didn't mind the waste of washi tape ;-). This is so elegant, really gorgeous. I love the simple white lettering, so classy looking.

I love how you used the Washi tape on the butterfly. I don't have any Washi tape...I just have not gotten in to the craze of it yet but you have me thinking outside the box now with it on this darling butterfly. Wonderfully done!

Beautiful CAS sympathy, Sandie. We both had butterflies on the mind today.
