I was inspired by other Bar/Bat Mitzvah cards which opened the way the ark opens in a synagogue. I wanted the card to be fun and celebratory, while still reflecting the formality of the occasion.
I wrote the Hebrew text (Mazel tov, meaning good luck/congratulations) on the computer in a Hebrew font. Just kept toying with the color on the computer till it matched my paper.
I die-cut 2 of the purple CS labels, gluing 1 to the front and 1 to the back of the right flap. I also used a small velcro circle to hold the card closed. Enjoy!

Congratulations on your first upload to SCS, and it's a beautiful card! I just love Concord Crush with the cream, and that glittery paper is beautiful! Your layout with the die is elegant, and I love the perfect color match of your sentiment and the finishing touches of the gold pearls.
I know you'll find lots of inspiration and encouragement here at SCS, and perhaps you might consider joining a challenge found on the Home Page. Looking forward to seeing more of your lovely work! Hugs!
P. S. You might want to go to the Forum, "Start Here" and get familiar with SCS and perhaps introduce yourself (by starting a new thread). Here's a direct link.
