Another card for my Online Card Watercoloring Intermediate Class. I tried Negative WC, Wet to Wet , Wet to Dry, and Splattering techniques. This was my 1st attempt. I am ok with the results. Have much to learn yet, but at least I got the effect I wanted with the Wet to Wet background which made the stamped leaves really pop. I mixed my own colors using only the 3 Primary colors..Red, Yellow and Blue. I learned how to do this in the Pre-Class Exercises. So fun. Just add more or less water for the different shades and follow the color wheel to make different colors.
My small notecard is for my girlfriend who is in my SU Hostess Club and is a true artist and just hosted a really fun party :-) She is so excited that I am taking this class....Gee, So am I :-)Enjoy and TFL...

This is one of the techniques that I struggle with in my real life watercolour classes, and I love it, so one I would like to do more often. I think you have done great in your classes so far Nancy ... awesome card. tfs

It is interesting how this technique seems to give your leaves almost as much dimension as if you had fussy-cut them and popped them up on foam dots--but this is done with shading and contrast. Your natural talent makes it look so easy.
Also, with the lessons you are learning, I can just imagine you whipping up your own custom ink colors using re-inkers and blank ink pads!
