For this week's TLC - a full description of the technique is in the first post of the challenge, which can be found here: TLC570 Dry Embossing with Stencils.
This started out as a tag - but since I made two samples and didn't want two tags, I trimmed a tiny bit off the bottom of this one and added it to a card base which was embossed with the same leaf stencil.
For the tag I inked the stencil and ran it through the Big Shot with the tag. Then with my diy circle stencils, i sponged circles. I used the negative of a grass die-cut to sponge the grass, and then I stamped the text stamp and some spatters from French Foliage. I added my bird - his beak has Glossy Accents, and he's coloured with pencils, and the word die-cut. When I decided to turn the tag into a card, I simply tied a knot in a piece of ribbon and thread that through the hole in the tag, taping it at the back.

This looks fabulous Sabrina. I am as thick as a brick sometimes and it took a while to work out the technique when I was reading the challenge. Now that I see this finished gem, I get it LOL. Can't wait to get home next week and give this a go. Thank you for always stretching us!!!

Wonderful card! Love how you brought the emb base forward into your design! Great bkgrd and you know I LOVE your crazy bird! Ironically, I was just thinking about dry stencil emb last seek. Glad you picked it for the challenge to inspire me to do it.

What a cute card, Sabrina! I love the crazy birds so many people are using, and yours is no exception. I really like his belly! Your knotted ribbon is clever. Sabrina, I so enjoyed your challenge, and my machine handled it with no problem. I was happy for the chance to use an old brass stencil! Thanks, Sabrina!! Great job!
