The inspirsation site for today is "Uncommon Goods". This small dish caught my eye with its lovely colors.
Jennifer(mother's daughter) had sent me some unique synthetic paper(Yupo). It is very slick which causes alcohol inks used with a blender solution to move in very intriguing ways. For the highlights, I lifted out some of the ink with a tissue. The center was done with Copics and fine marker. It is the only part that was "drawn"...the petals are just how the inks moved with a little help. : )

Wow Sallie - gorgeous flower with the alcohol inks - love the dish you were inspired by too - your art reflects the dish wonderfully! Beautiful flower center using the copics too!

This is really striking, Sallie. I've seen Calex use this paper too but thought I wouldn't be able to figure it out. What you've created here, in color and design, is exceptional.

Beautiful and inspiring! And a great interpretation of the inspiration piece. My friend Christine (aka calex) gave me a piece of Yupo to try but have been away so much lately I haven't yet had a chance.

Sallie, I always look forward to what you will paint next. This is gorgeous! I love your inspiration piece but think your creation is even more beautiful. I hope your recipient frames this! It's a work of art.

I need a bigger font for this one - "wow" by itself is just not enough - it needs to be about font size 72 - and as a marquee. It's just that stunning!
