My card is for the January Gallery Theme: Forest Friends. A couple of ways to interpret the theme is to use animals found in the forest and/or forest scenes. I used both of those.
The background for the deer is a stencil-aspen trees. I used Tim Holtz distress stain/iced spruce.
The deer was colored with a brush using Tim Holtz Distress stain/frayed burlap.
I cut out the deer but stamped the brush at the bottom which was part of the stamp.
Edit to add----Challenge: F4A309--Make a card for someone you love. It doesn't have to be a valentine, just made with love. This card will go to my son for his birthday and I sure love him.

Wow, what an amazing card. I love that you used the deer with the trees, I thought it was paper, but I see now that you used a stencil. Your son will love this.

I can't even tell you how much I'm in love with this masculine masterpiece. Gosh, every element so perfectly coordinated and so masculine. Your son is really going to love it. I wish I could make one this good my Benzalina friend. (We have snow today!)
