I started out my page by scribbling with 3 blue and 1 purple Gelatos throughout the page. I then used a lot of water to (as per last week's Mixability) let it flow around the page. I dried this and went back and added the blue drips. I took my finger dipped in Grey Gesso and also white acrylic paint to smear some highlights around. I used a pencil first, then Micron pen to add my "banners" as an area to write my Scripture verse. I also drew on some Zendangles. These are colored with Chameleon pens. I also added the ripple highlight and some other coloring here and there. I used a Wink of Stella to add some clear highlights in the ripple pattern and a Clear Star Gelly Roll pen around the word hope.
It has been such a season of loss for my family. My mom's last remaining brother died on Friday and I traveled with my dad and sister to the services on Mon/Tues. This makes 5 deaths in the family since my mom's death in September and leaves just my one aunt and 4 of her in laws remaining. The Big Seven down to one, and we're all just so sad. I kept thinking about cumulative grief yet cumulative joy knowing the reunion they're all experiencing in heaven. Today's Ways to Use it cool colors were perfect for my journal page. This small print verse is one that my mom's cousin read at the funeral....we are NOT without hope! As I was working the song He Giveth More Grace came to me and I've quoted that as well but changed the word "trials" to the specific multiplied trial that we've been facing which is "grief"

Oh Gail, I'm so sorry that you have experienced yet another family loss. That's really tough. The drips on this pick up on the feeling of loss and grief, and yet the verse speaks of triumph over death, and hope.

Gosh Gail, I'm so sorry to hear about all the deaths in the family! That is so hard when they come all at once, wow, so sad!
I love your Zendangle journal page though and scripture. Very pretty!

Gail, you did a beautiful page to honor your loved one. I am so sorry for your loss. The drips look like tear drops but the verse does speak of peace and hope. Beautifully done! Hugs!
