Cathy's challenge this week...make it a cold scene. Living close to Lake Michigan, we sometimes have our own little snow storm from the wind off the lake. The flakes are huge and very fluffy. They are called lake effect snowstorms. Stamped the lighthouse, and tried to watercolor the wind and waves of the lake as it looks during one of these storms. Added acrylic paint for the snow banks. WOW! Living this close to Lake Erie, this is exactly what winter looks like when looking out there this time of year! What an incredible job, Linda! The angry waves, the wind, you managed to capture it all! I'd LOVE to be able to paint like that! You even have the ice on the lake! Just WOW!

Wow, what a beautifully colored card, Mrs. TV Personality. I can totally see the frigid wind and air moving those snow effects all over the area. I'm in awe. Again, you've come to the gallery with a work of art.

As usual, Linda, I am just speechless over your gorgeous work of art. This should be framed and hung on the wall. You captured the feel of a freezing, snowy day by the water. The stormy sky is so perfectly painted. Into my favd.
