I brought this stamped image downstairs to colour while I was cooking something that needed attention the other evening. It was stamped on watercolour paper and I coloured it with Inktense pencils.
To finish the card, I layered it on some Bazzill with a die-cut edge and the opposite corners rounded. The base is some special paper I've had for years - I stitched it onto the card base after wrapping gold mesh around the card twice. It still seemed to need something so I searched through a couple of boxes till I found these lovely lacy butterflies, and added one of them. Usually when I use this stamp I add a lot of Stickles and Liquid Pearls, this time I have left it perfectly plain.

I like to imagine you coloring away while something simmers on the stove, Sabrina! I can see how this stamp would look great with Stickles and Pearls, but I think you've done well to leave it simple here, it's so sweet against that beautiful paper and ribbon. Lovely card! The butterfly is the perfect adornment.

Your special base paper is absolutely amazing, (no wonder you have been saving it for so long!) and offers this simple pencil colored image with the punched border a perfect place to rest! I really like the way your trailing stitching was added after the gold mesh ribbon was wrapped around the base too! The crocheted butterfly is a gorgeous embellishment!!

Gee you have a cool stash! That DP and gold mesh are neat! I think I have a butterfly like that someone gave me and I never knew how it would really look...now I see it, I like it!
To me they have a bit of a vintage feel, which worked very well with the sweet flowers you did.
