For the home wtui challenge. I live in western Oregon-- the "wet side"-- with gray winters and (usually) lots of rain. I added glossy accents to the raindrops and red, just to make them look wet. In my small town, we celebrate a gold mining history, so I cut the hello from gold cs.
Around here, there are still more trees than people.

Perfect representation of your neck of the woods, Brenda! What fun to have a gold mining history. I'm guessing it's very green there - must be beautiful!

I think you captured Oregon beautifully. I have never been there, but would like to see it. I love your bg, your evergreen tree and how you show the wet side. I wonder if you have less sunshine than we do in the Chicagoland area? I don't think I would like that part, but it does look like pretty scenery.

Hee, I know what you mean about those trees! Of course we have tons of dead ones now that will take a hundred years or more to be what they were because of our drought. So sad to see!
Do you live near Mt Hood or maybe the Columbia gorge? I love that Columbia gorge area!
Beautiful Brenda! Oh I guess I forgot the gold part. We live in the first town on the famous Golden Chain Hwy (hwy 49 for the 49ers as in gold miners). We have that in common too!

Oregon is on my list of places I want to explore : )
I love the little nature vignette you used to depict your part of the U S, and your background is perfect.

Ha, you make it sound like Ireland!! The golden hello is a neat nod to the local heritage, and I love the majestic trees in your background. My sister honeymooned in OR, and I remember thinking how green and beautiful it looked when I saw her photos.
