Linda asked us to be inspired by our little corner of the world. I've really grown to love the beauty of our farm country here in North Central Indiana. I've spent most of my life in cities/suburbs and now the last five years in a small town surrounded by farms. The horizons and big open skies along with frequent fogs and gorgeous sunsets have often made me want to capture things with art. I've tried to watercolor this same scene before with limited success. I thought I'd give my Chameleon pens a try. I'm more satisfied with the sky than the field. Next time I'll go for more sky and less field! I've paired my farm scene with a "farm-themed" Scripture verse which is another reminder I need as life has just been hard lately.

I like the way you framed your farm scene, Gail! Beautiful scripture verse....each of us has a different type of beauty all around us. We need to take time to look and appreciate it.

This is a wonderful depiction of your area. I ike how your new pens worked out..the field has a great texture and depth to it. And what an encouraging verse for you and your family especially but for us all.

Your farm scene is beautiful!! I love that scripture too. I was brought up in a pretty rural area, and I love it. I love to see farms and wide open spaces. Thank you so much for sharing Gail.
The country is so therapeutic! I look forward too all the stars in the sky when I visit my brother's farm. Great coloring job too. Those pens look like so much fun! Tfs.

Gail, this is really beautiful. I imagine that the sizes of fields around you must almost be bigger than some of the small rural farms here. You've really given a sense of wide-open space. I like your fields, too.

I agree with Linda; you need to do this more! Congratulations on being named Featured Stamper this week! Well deserved! I love many of the cards in your gallery but was drawn to this one especially. It has a feel of fall about it and the sun shining through the mist on the fields. Beautiful!
