I have been practicing watercolor techniques using different WC papers. I used Arches 140# Cold Press, which is great for Smooshing with Distress Inks. The ink spreads out in such interesting designs. I also practiced Splattering using water downed Distress Ink and a watercolor brush. I loved how my background turned out.
Simon Says Stamp Blog Wednesday Challenge: Something New. I used my new HLS Butterfly Birthday stamp set and Butterfly Die. I stamped my butterfly in Ripe Persimmon and watercolored with the other Distress ink colors I listed. The Die worked well on the thicker W/C paper. The sentiment is from the set too.
You will be seeing more watercolored samples. Having fun doing my homework for the onlinecardclass.com Starting January 25th thru Feb. 5th. This is the Intermediate Watercoloring Class. My 1st online class. I am pretty excited as I really need some help to move on....
Enjoy and TFL my friends. Hugs, Nancy

Nancy this is fabulous. I love the great colours and the happy, arty feel to this. I am looking forward to seeing your homework - don't stay up too late young lady.

Awesome card Nancy. I too continue to practise. My teacher is away until the end of January, so I fool around so I don't forget everything she has taught me up until now. I use the Arches 140# cold press and so far have gotten the best results from it. It is very expensive here to be using it for smooshing so I use the Strathmore for that. Have fun my friend.
