I used the Pop-Up Diorama tutorial, but used a larger sheet of card to make it A2 when closed.
So it's a strip 12 3/4" long by 5 1/2" high, scored at 4 1/4", 8", 8 1/2", 12 1/4".
For the front, I used a background made with an acrylic mist and a bamboo stencil from TCW, then sponged with distress inks. The Asian Artistry bird was inked with markers, coloured with pencils and I sponged the edges.
For the inside, I put the panda in the back of the card, and stuck the bamboo front in the circular aperture.
The whole idea behind creating this card was to use up a piece of card done with copper gilding wax and the bamboo stencil - which is what the sentiment is stamped on. But in repositioning the bird on the front panel, I tore the original bamboo, and hence had to make another one from scratch. Still, it's one less background from my "spares" box, even if most of it had to go into the bin in the end.
