The Inspiration Challenge was a wonderful muse for a specific card that I needed to make. I send themed envelopes to a family friend who is dealing with cancer. This week the theme is Old Rock Day January 7th. I wasn't sure how to approach that idea. On the Wildlands website, I loved the unique watercolors prints. When I saw this one, it sparked an idea.
The city scape reminded me of this mountain stamp as they are a faraway view of something grand. The multi-colors within the images were motivating. For the mountains, I colored the stamp with markers (River Rock, Not Quite Navy, Old Olive), lightly misted with water and stamped on the cardstock. The colors blended perfectly to make the different facets of the mountains. One small bare spot was strategically covered by a handwritten reference - Psalms 18:2. The Not Quite Navy panel is DSP and when I embossed it, some of the color came off, exposing the white, creating a sanded look. It is really cool. (Now I know what to do with all the DSP I have that is plain with no pattern.) To stamp the verse, I used River Rock ink and did the Rock N Roll technique with Not Quite Navy. The white stamped panel is held on by the clips and not adhered, so it can be removed and used for a bookmark or displayed. Happy Old Rock Day! Wonderful Inspiration Challenge. TFL

A kind and thoughtful gesture to send your family friend a beautiful card of encouragement and love each week. It surely is appreciated and looked forward to. This is a lovely design with the "rocky" mountains.

Beautiful creation - I love that the psalm panel can be removed!! And I agree about the grandness of the city scape and of the mountain scene - what a great way to reference the two. Lovely card. Hugs
