I'm hoping to fill this Rolodex with Scripture this year and then it will be a calendar in years to come. With a sprinkling of snow coming down, and the Mixability Challenge to add snow, I was inspired in the snow direction. I took the piece of cardstock that I'd used to sop up all my extra ink as I made my Christmas cards this year and traced my Rolodex pattern to cut my base. I took my Chameleon pens to add the swirls. I had saved the leavings of a snowflake punched Gelli print and glued that down. I then laid another snowflake over the top of that. I used my pens to write my verse and trace over the penned reference I'd already printed. I used my blender pen for some softening of the letters and swirls. I also added a bit of glitter pen and some silver glitter. I added the date down in the bottom right.
I started out today doing a 2015 in review photo collage which ended up being a series of "lasts" with my mom who passed away in September after a 4 1/2 year long breast cancer journey. The photo which fb automatically picked as my first, was a photo of someone's journaling on Daniel 3 with the words, "And if not..He is still good." I was going to use this for my first card, but it isn't actually a verse just her summary of the passage. That's where my heart is as I start out the new year.

What a great idea, Gail! Reflecting on scripture each day is certainly one way to achieve a closer walk with the Lord. His Word says to thank him continually, no matter what situations we are facing; in the good times and the bad. Pretty swirls that add to the snowy feel of this scripture card~

Oh gosh, that's a great verse to start the new year after a tough previous year for you. It's actually one I've been thinking of myself, too - I'm not so good at the rejoicing part just now. What a cool way to recycle your "waste" paper - and so perfect for the MIX challenge. Have fun with your Chameleon pens.
