Time for one (I hope) last Christmas card but since the colors & greeting are not necessarily Christmas, it will be most likely sent for New Year's greetings. For the challenge, the die cuts are obviously silhouette but I also backed (shadowed) w/ purple c/s.
I started w/ a bg I made on water color paper quite a while back. I used some Distress Ink pads, smooshed them onto a kraft sheet, spritzed w/ a little water, then pressed the water color paper to it. I did one color at a time & dried it w/ a heat gun, then did the next color. This keeps the colors from running together & becoming muddy. When I finished, I die cut the layers & added the grape card stock in between. The angel, greeting & very narrow layer around the center panel were die cut out of white glitter card stock. I also die cut another 2 angels & 1 greeting out of a darker purple to shadow them.
Merry Christmas & thanks so much for looking! Closeups & the inside are on my blog: The Write Stuff
