This is for the Inspiration Challenge: Buttons Pinterest Board by Polly. This morning, I remembered that I forgot to do my nephew's gift. He's a teen-ager and saving for a new printer, so I knew he'd appreciate a $$ gift more than anything. I had to button down and make one more mini-treat bag to put the money in, but what to do? I was feeling so pressured and uninspired on what paper to use, what colors, etc... I couldn't decide. I just knew that I didn't want to use the tradition red & Christmas green mix. I needed it a little different for my nephew. But what? The Inspiration Challenge and Polly's button board to the rescue! https://www.pinterest.com/pin/542331980107155319/
The minute I saw these buttons, I knew what paper to use. It has the Christmas red, but is paired with a non-tradition Christmas green. The "for you" was die cut, layered on 3 banners, to represent the 3 buttons. The star and scallop punch were attached and raised up with Dimensionals. Satin ribbon tied around. The final touch was one square gem on the star layer. I just had to add just a touch of bling. That's what stampers do! Pull up on the stars at the top and the insert comes out with a pocket for the $$. I wrote a message on the insert which he will see when he takes out the gift. Fun to make once I got started. Thanks for looking!
