Who hoo - not only did I make a card, but I actually got it done the same day as one of the challenges. The TLC564 had 3 parts. First was to use something we had thrown away. Last week I spent a lot of time coloring this cute Santa with a great background of ornaments and stars. The final step that I usually do is to go arounder the edges with grey copics to add dimension to the flat image. I had already put the copies away, so I used a prisma pencil which I thought was dark grey. I outlined EVERYTHING and then went to blend it. That grey pencil turned out to be an awful shade of green and I ruined the image. What followed was a hissy fit that would make any 2 year old proud. Luckily, I did not rip it up during my temper tantrum and was abe to fussy cut the Santa and use him. It is hard to see, but there is a boarder of shiny teal CS for the shinny part of the challenge, and under techniques in the description are all the techniques i used. The F4A303 was to base the card on a movie. Whenever I think of movies, I am reminded about the time years ago when my sons, who were 8 and 9, asked me to rent a video (boy does that sound prehistoric) for the slumber party they were having with their neighborhood buddies. How cute...they chose a sweet holIiday film. I found out real quick that "Bad Santa" was more like a pornagraphic holiday film. This is my more sensored version of "Bad Santa". TFL, Francie

I'm glad you were able to rescue Santa - he certainly has plenty of dimension set against that background. I love the sparkly present - something special in there, I am sure.

Super cute card and Santa Francie... fussy cutting was the perfect rescue.... I had to laugh when I read about the video... I had to read that part to DH also.... Too funny..
LOVED the description of the hissy fit and the story of the video. I, too, shared the stories with my hubby. We got a chuckle from both of them. Great rescue of the Santa :-)

A hissy fit, huh? I'm prone to those myself! But this is a great save - I love that image and you colored him beautifully, as always. Love the polka dot background and the touches of shiny teal!

Francie, this is just too cute. What a great Santa and you've shaded his beard perfectly. Is that a video in the pretty gift box? Ha What a fun tassel on Santa's hat. Super creation!
