This is for Shannon's challenge - and we're stopping off in Canada. I didn't particularly mean to use a maple leaf, but it was the largest leaf die I had, to make a single focal point. And it reminds me of the pie/tartlet tins we used to have which must have come when my mother moved here from Canada, they had maple leaves in the centre of each one. Wish I knew what had happened to them, I can still visualise them so clearly, making jam tarts in them as a little girl.
The green woodgrain base came from my scrap box and I can't remember what I coloured it with - possibly Gelatos. I die-cut the leaf and used Brusho powders to colour it, then stamped the sentiment when it was dry. It's edged with a Sakura stardust pen, and I finished the card off with some green ribbon.
