My first pop-up box card. Had to make this extra special for my son & his girlfriend. When he called to thank me for the Halloween card, he said he keeps my cards to display during that holiday. Talk about a way to melt a mom's heart!! So Santa & the Elfettes doing the Can Can are backed up by the Rollicking Reindeers and will be making their appearance in Milwaukee for Christmas.
I followed Dina's tutorial for the pop-up box card Pop-Up Box Card Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers . Stamped some Christmas images on red pp for bg 1, bg 2 is SU holly wheel with added lines for stripes. Stamped, colored and fussy cut images, punched some trees and assembled. Added texture paste for beard and snow and finished it all up with the candy canes. TFL

absolutely delightful! And you have inspired me to give this a try. Loved your story, what a sweet son. The pop of bright pink adds a neat contrast to the traditional Christmas colors. Fun, fun, fun, Carla!
as a side, when my oldest son went away to college, he told me he occasionally would peruse my SCS gallery to feel close to me. I treasure that still. We just never know how much our art touches others.

YOur first venture into the area of pop up box cards will be very hard to top! This is fabulous! How sweet of your son to say that he keeps your cards out for holidays. I guess he's in the will for sure!!
Wonderful elfettes, reindeer, and Santa.

This is your first pop-up box card? It looks like it was done by a pro. You must do more of these! Your heart must have truly & joyfully melted by your son's comment. That's awesome! This card will surely be a treasured decoration for him to proudly display and say "MY mom made this!" It looks great. Love those high-kicking dancing elves. TFS
