I watercolored my sky first, the added shadows to the snow below. I inked up a Stampscapes pine tree, misted it and stamped a tree and repeated for the second tree. I used just the tree tips for the stamps in the background after stamping off for a lighter color and masking the snow. The sentiment was embossed and chucky embossing powder was heated from underneath for snow. I love the control the chunky powder lets me have as opposed to spatter which more often than not hits the floor and walls.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to join the fun at Loll's 12 tag challenge which you can find here

I adore these type of scenes! And tags are so versatile as a showcase on a card or as a standalone piece! I've never tried chunky powder but will look for some when I get out again.

Your watercoloured snow scene is so beautiful and peaceful Nancy! Love the soft flow of the colours in the sky ... and your beautiful trees. I have that same stamp and forgot to use it ... it's really perfect for any Christmas card. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful tag at my Twelve Tags of Christmas event! xx

Beautiful sky! The soft shadows in the snow look so realistic, too. You'll have to teach me how to do that. Time to get out my pine tree stamps - yours are beautiful. I love the colors!

Another exquisite tag, Nancy. If it weren't for the word "joy" it could be a photograph of a snowy hillside.....the foreground pines look so realistic. Beautiful watercolored sky.....and love how you did your falling snow.

Reminds me of the cards we made last year - love it!!! Such a sweet and soft scene - I can hear our boots crunching in the snow! Wonderful snow - it is a more controlled technique! Fun. Hugz
