Loll Thompson's 12 Tags of Christmas 2015 Day 2. Fabulous samples by Loll and her 2 Day2 Guest Designers Kathy and Jules. The challenge gallery is filled with beauties too :-) Hope you get to play too. Closes Nov. 22nd.
I made several pieces the other day using the new Hot Glue Embossing Technique by Connie. What a Fabulous and Creative Technique. This piece I just drew with my hot glue gun 1/2 of a tree on the edge of the tag. I followed Connie's tutorial using Wild Wasabi and Early espresso EB powders while glue still sticky and then heated carefully with my heat tool to melt the powder. Then I filled in the tree with Distress inks. So fun.
I covered the white space of my tag with Gesso and then when dry added Distress Ink spritzed with water then pressed my stencil to make some marks. When Dry I used Emerald Inka Gold Paste on my craft sheet and spritzed with water then brushed onto my tag for a pretty shine. Let dry and then smeared the Emerald Inka Gold Paste with my palette knife through one section of my stencil.
I took a photo with my tag laying down with the top end elevated trying to get more of the Inka Gold shine. It really is pretty IRL.
LOVE my brand new HLS Mixed Christmas Sentiments set. I stamped 6 of the 11 sentiments. I loved all the different fonts and how well they stamped even when brand new :-) I was impressed.
Kylie, you did a fabulous job of designing and producing your stamps. Can't wait to order more.
Enjoy and Happy Stamping....TFL

Nancy, this tag is lovely! I love how you did the tree. You sent me a post and, yes, I have been following Loll's Tag Challenge again this year. Both of your tags have been wonderful, as were your tags last year. I have not tried mixed media, but I love the results people can achieve with it.

Oh my gosh ... this is AMAZING Nancy!! I LOVE the background ... such beautiful colours and design. But that tree ... WOW ... so cool!! Great way to use the hot glue embossing technique. This is really creative, my friend. Thanks so much for sharing your awesome tag at my Twelve Tags of Christmas event. xx
Nancy, this is so neat! I love the texture with the glue as the edge of the tree! The stenciled BG, colors and mix of the different sentiments is wonderful!
What a great little tag Nancy. I love the softly coloured background with all of the stamped sentiments. Great use of the hot glue to create your tree. Love it!
What a fun tag Nancy! I love how you used the sentiments for a great background and the tree going off the tag is a fun touch.
Thanks for sharing with us at HLS Christmas Challenge.
Hugs
