I was inspired by THIS image. Thus, the butterfly and the fronds. The rest just went its own way. The BG for the focal image butterfly was done by inking a Tim Holtz collage stamp in Antique Linen, misting it and stamping a loose watery image on watercolor paper, and then stamping over it in Crumb Cake without the spraying. The blue BG is a batik resist that looks soft instead of crisp because I heat embossed and then sprayed the paper with a mister full of water and ink instead of sponging the ink on like I usually do. Just another way of doing it, and I liked the soft look. The butterfly was fussy cut, sprayed to color and then I went over it with watercolor pencils. Edge of wing detailed with a gold gel pen and some sections of the wings were painted with Wink Of Stella.
It took me three days to finish this, but only part of that was my natural snail-like pace in these matters; part of it was life getting in the way. As many have said, it's had to get glitter to show in a photo, and that is the case here - the Wink Of Stella (Oh, Wink of Stella, where have you been all my life?) looks very sparkly IRL, but disappears in the pic.
TFL!

This is so pretty and each layer has its own little design to make up the whole of that which is your card. You really take into account every detail before you put a design together (maybe that's why you say it takes so long..lol). I love how you added those leaves to frame the butterfly and the bg collage.Your cutting is so perfect (do I remember you have a Scan and Cut machine...is that the result?? awesome). Lovely creation Robin.

With the sprays which make me think of olives, and the butterfly, this brings Greek holidays to mind, especially combined with the "antique" feel. Love your combination of wet and dry stamping. Love the stamped kraft panel, too.
