I've been waiting for the right motivation to sit down and make these. Being the ribbon nut I am, I picked out some ribbon that I wanted to use and coordinated the paper to go with it. Turns out the ribbon did not work after all. LOL. But I am very satisfied with the gingham. Ok, for those of you who are still trying to figure out what the heck this is for, well, you take a piece of double sided velcro and attach it to the back of the cd & dishwasher, and whenver the dishwasher is ready to be emptied or filled, you turn it over appropriately. Hmm...wonder if that means people in the family will take a hint?! Probably NOT. LOL. Anyway, they're fun to make and give as gifts. It would be really neat to coordinate with someone's kitchen colors also. You can also use magnets, but I am opposed to this due to small children potentially choking on it. Also you never know if the person to whom you are gifting will have a metal dishwasher or not. So, velcro is much easier and a safer bet. (I will put a coat of Mod Podge over the paper, so that it doesn't get damaged by wet hands.) C'mon give it a try! I want to see what you creative women can do. Give me more inspiration! *Special thank you to JM Donahoe for the Prima flowers! Soon to be an island girl herself!

Great idea! Thanks for your inspiration. I have no dishwasher (unless DH counts) but may have to make some up for gifts!

Love this with velcro! My grandma has one with pigs -- one in the mud for dirty -- and it is so cute!! I wanted one bad but magnets won't work for me. . .now I am so excited to try this! I wish I had a little pig stamp I could use. . .
Thanks so much for sharing!
