I have been wanting to try this "burst through" technique for ages, ever since I saw an art journal-er on YouTube use it with butterflies (Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers. It was a little more difficult with the thin origami paper, but it was a challenge, so I persevered :-) This was so much fun. But I have no idea how I'm going to mail it with the others :-)

OMG, this is so cool!! I have not tried this technique yet but you made it look like so much fun!
When I mailed my cards, the ones that were 3D I placed them on top of the stack in a larger plastic ziplock bag and then added some tissue paper on top. Anything to help take the stress would work!!

This is beautiful! I love that origami paper, and the deep purple/wine color of the butterflies is unexpected against the red. I think the typewriter-style font is just the thing to play against the contemporary look of this card.
