andib (Andi)'s HYCCT challenge was to get the kids involved in making a card representing something mom loves. Now, I don't have any little ones around any more, but I just lost my mom this past February. So I decided to make this challenge card in her honor, hoping that it will bring cheer to someone at MD Anderson. Mom loved the color turquoise, her favorite flowers were pansies (she always said they looked like they had little smiling faces), and any little "cute" creature. So here is my simple card, just like you would have liked, Mom.

Lovely story! Your card touches all the bases for your mom. I too love pansies and the way you have coloured them here. Love your little heart and bow too. Sweet card!

Really lovely card in honor of your mother. I am sure she would have loved it!
Pansies do look like a smiling flower....so sweet.
My mother is not doing well and is in a facility outside of Chicago. I send her cards all the time even though her eyesight is just about gone. The nurse I talked to today said she read the Halloween card to her, and they talked about the Elvis postage stamp I had on the envelope. Mom loves Elvis!!
THx for sharing such a lovely card.....great therapy don't you think??

What great memories of your mother. I'm glad you played along and I'm sure there were tears. Your card captured things she liked. Very cute card and I love the pops of turquoise too.
