This is for Andi's HYCCT1527KIDS challenge - for kids to make a card representing something Mom loves. In this case, I'm the kid. My mom loved hummingbirds.
A friend gave me this die a while ago and I've been intending to try this technique with it for a while. I cut the hummer from three different colors of metallic cs and black cs. I covered the back of the black die cut with removable tape and kept trying the negative cuts of different colors in different places until I was pleased with the combination. I then covered the front with removable tape, turned it over, gently peeled the tape from the back and replaced it with permanent tape. I layered the metallic die cuts together and attached them to the inlaid black die cut. I added a drop of Glossy Accents to the hummer's eye.
The Majestic Labels 25 die was cut from gold white shimmer paper and backed with a metallic Labels 25 die cut. I attached the hummer to the label with Sookwang tape.
The background piece is metallic paper embossed with clear ep. I attached to the base and adhered the hummingbird embellishment with foam tape.
As always, thanks for looking!

My MIL is a big hummingbird fan and we have feeders out all summer. They are bold little devils! This card is wonderful. All the metallic shimmer really illustrates the beauty of these little birds! Great card!
