I am hosting this week’s color challenge, and I have chosen the colors mossy meadow, baja breeze and crumb cake. Desert is to use designer paper (also called patterned paper). Come and join in the challenge – you may be our next favorite!!
I just got the Watercolor Wings stamp set and had such fun with it! Used dsp for the front of my card and stamped the flowers from Elements of Style on the baja blue portion. Used the scallop border punch to make my border and the Little Leaves die to create the leaves and then sponged both with ripe avocado. The leaves were also spritzed with shimmer spritz and I love the sparkle this adds. Stamped and die cut the butterfly and spritzed with shimmer mist for some more sparkle. Smaller butterfly is vellum and layered on the larger one, and candy dots were added to the body. Stamped the sentiment flag and assembled.

You can never go wrong with butterflies, especially when they're multi-layer and vellum! This card is so pretty! I especially like the leaves hanging down--the colors really glisten!

Oh, Maura, this is beautiful, and I agree that these area great colors today! What a stunning card with this butterfly (I am waiting for mine to come - so thanks for the inspiration). Beautiful sponging of your leaves and such a gorgeous butterfly with the shimmer! Hugs!
