What a fun Halloween pic to inspire us....hence the big olÂ’ neon green eyeballs on my card. IsnÂ’t it great to have a card that looks back at you, lol? It seemed the perfect time to bring out my neglected fluorescent markers & neon ink. If you canÂ’t use Â’em on Halloween, then when? I really had fun using them to color all the bottles of potions & poisons. YepÂ…thatÂ’s a tasty looking bunch!
After I colored them, I masked a few of them & added the bubbles. After die cutting the jar out of the front, I die cut a top out of metallic silver & added just a little coloring to the jar part of the cut out. I put a piece of acetate w/ some foam tape around it, behind the cut out & carefully placed some googlie eyes before sticking it down.
I came across a piece from the center of some die cut & it just looked like it could be the bg for the eyes. So I stamped the eyeball twice w/ neon green ink, added a bit of neon shading & stamped the greeting on top. The spider webs were stamped once w/ the neon ink.
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups, the inside & the Copic colors are on my blog: The Write Stuff

So fun and creative, Julie. Those green eyes almost had me hypnotized....scary. The jar of eyes is pretty creepy, too. Someone will really enjoy receiving this card in the mail....but, they better not look too long at those eyes...warning, warning.

Love your potion jars! And the eyes are the perfect "creepy" for Halloween - not too scary, but not too cute. Love this card and all that went into it.
