For many many years, I have been a childrens' book collector, collecting books by illustrators. The web site this morning was SO right up my alley! I chose this Forest Castle illustration for inspiration.
After seeing wonderful water color cards here on SCS, I decided to try my hand at one. I penciled in the main shapes, and after I did the painting, I resized a Lavinia fairy, and printed it on vellum. Cutting it out was not easy, but I had no small enough stamps, so I had no choice. I think it looks great!
Thanks for looking, and thanks for a wonderful inspiration, Dini!!

Well, you are the expert crafter today. What a great job you did with your paints and pencil. I love your little fairy and see what you mean about the cutting. Awesome job!

WOW!! Anne, you did an amazing job on the scene and I can't even imagine cutting out that tiny fairy! I think you need to do this more often, because you're very talented!
