This card is for No Extra Postage Hope You Can Cling to It Challenge, as well as this week's Ways to Use It challenge, to use a cat on the card. This is my all time favorite cat image and I have a lot of them. I actually had the image stamped and colored on Thursday, but I think I am still trying to recover from my cold because I just didn't have the energy to finish it. This is a CASE of a card I did a number of years ago. I changed the shape of the card and the orientation and added a greeting. But this image is so lovely all by itself, that I like to keep it simple so the HYCCT challenge to keep the layers and embellishments simple so there would be no extra postage required worked well with this. I did add some faux brads made with several layers of punched paper. They don't cause an appreciable bulk to the card front and they won't cause the envelope to tear going through the machine. They are shaped with a stylus and a tiny dolls wooden bowl so they do look like brads or candy dots. And pretty much a free item from paper scraps!

I always forget about faux brads, but they really are great when you're trying to keep the card mail-able! Love that image and it looks great colored on the Kraft paper!

Kathy ~ This is fabulous! Love the scene, it looks peaceful and relaxing. The sentiment is perfect for this card and for the cause. I love the image and how you colored it on the Kraft. The faux brads are amazing. This is a wonderful card to mail with no extra postage. Thanks for sharing and caring by participating in HYCCT and my challenge.
