My goal for October for the USEIT2015 challenge is to use some of my old Stampavie stamps that don't get much love.
For this one, I stamped the image on Bristol board and coloured it with Polychromos pencils, then added some sponging while it was still in the die, and a hint of Stickles on the bees' wings.
I created background paper by using some greens and blues to make a sheet of wrinkle free distress, then stamping Greenery on it. I doodled all round the edges with a black pen, and did the same on the white base. The "sending you" is part of a HA sentiment and is embossed to help it stand out, "sunshine" is from LOTV's Girlie Banners, and I sponged it with yellow.
To finish I added an old fabric flower with a punched circle for the centre, to make it a little flatter than it originally was, and some die-cut foliage.

Sabrina, this is FANTASTIC!!! I LOVe the background you have created, so effective with this whimsical stamped image. The colors you have used really do it justice. The stitched sentiment is the perfect touch!!!
I admire you for using some of your older stamps, I think that would be a great challenge for all of us!!! Well-done!!!

HOW adorable! The background layer is perfect for that sweet image and the flower embellishment is so cheerful. You are doing a good job with the USEIT challenge, I'm trying to follow in your footsteps on some of my recent cards!

Very cute mouse! I really like the bg paper you made yourself and the flower that matches the image...I like to do that too-sponge while in the die so you get a good edge.

Great card and image for this challenge, Sabrina!! Love that sleepy little mouse napping under the flowers, with your soft sponging in the BG! the added fabric flower is a fantastic embellie that echoes the flowers in your image and brings them to life!!

I am a sucker for things that match, so I love the look of your handmade leaf bg paper, die cut vine leaves, and the stems on the flowers. Everything coordinates beautifully. Wonderful doodled boarder.
