This card was quickly made for a sweet neighbor and dear friend, Sue, to welcome her home from a lengthy stay in the hospital after suffering a mild stroke and heart attack. I am so glad to have my friend back home again!!!
Unfortunately I have not been able to work on cards for many months--I've had some emergency surgery, plus had a fall that was complicated with existing chronic medical issues that has resulted in a very painful rotator cuff tear that has made it very difficult to do the basics much less create a card. But some intensive physiotherapy has started to help enough that I could make a very basic card, where I was using die-cut elements I had already cut out and had treated with 3D Stamp Paint, glitter, glossy accents and/or Tim Holtz Rock Candy crackle paint. One flower has prills in its center. I made these flowers some time ago in 2 batches within a couple of days, and am now starting to make a new batch, but I have not finished those yet. I realized that most of my favorite flowers were being used up, so time to make some more, and hopefully they will be different again. To see more information on how to create these painted flowers, please see the cards I made in June/July 2014 with Heartfelt Creations products. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me. The flowers were glued onto the beautiful Anna Griffin Fretworks frame die (the edge of the frame was colored with violet 3D Stamp Paint, then Glossy Accents was carefully applied on top) with my favorite glue for applying flowers--Crafter's Pick The Ultimate Glue. It is so strong and dries quickly and dries clear. Inside the card, the only embellishment was another Heartfelt Creations Timeless Amour heart also colored with various colors, then Glossy Accents was applied.
My neighbor was pleased to receive the card (I had to drive almost 2 hours away for a medical appointment and could not be there when she arrived back home to our condo building, thus the card and some treats were waiting for her), I hope it made her feel very welcomed home, we have all missed her!!!
I will be starting a rather long process of dental surgeries and healing periods that will last approximately 10 months starting tomorrow. I have been through something similar 2 years ago, and the process was complicated and stressful, I would really appreciate your prayers for a successful outcome, as it will directly affect my ability to chew long-term. This is related to a car accident injury 25 years ago...
Thank you so much for stopping to look at my card. Please know that your comments mean so much to me--they are such an encouragement and I appreciate learning from them too. How I appreciate all I learn from seeing all of your cards and watching tutorials, especially when I'm not able to make my own cards, it helps pass the time and keeps me inspired until I can make cards again. I am hoping soon to be able to make more cards again. Know I have missed being able to create and upload cards, and am looking forward to trying some challenges too for the first time--I have much to learn!!!
Thanks again!!!

Your card is out-of-this-world Gorgeous!!! Such Beautiful flowers. My guess is that Sue was absolutely thrilled to receive this card...who wouldn't be. WOW!
I'm praying that your surgery goes very well and that it accomplishes everything you want it to. Also praying for your rotator cuff problem. I know how painful that can be. My husband has a torn rotator cuff on his right shoulder and a frayed one on his left shoulder. Therapy hasn't helped at all. They haven't said anything yet about a shoulder replacement, but who knows. Maybe they think he's too old (74). Don't know. I'll keep you in my prayers.

This is a drop dead gorgeous (for lack of a better word to aptly describe your skills). Sue, I'm certain, was delighted to receive such a beautiful work of art.

Your flowers are gorgeous, Joanne! The rich colors and shimmer just jump off the page. And the die cut frame is gorgeous too! I'm sure your neighbor loved it. I hope your surgery went well and that you are on the mend now. I want to thank you for your kind words on one of my recent cards. I can tell that you put a lot of thought and heart into them and they are so appreciated!

Your card is so striking with all of the incredible details. Obviously much love put into this card for your dear friend and neighbor. I know how hard all of these health challenges can be but join us her as you can for the best therapy around- creating. Hang in there.
