For the 3rd day of this years HYCCT event, "I am a Warrior!" hosted by Kathy, {create something that shows strength or inspiration. You could use Native American inspiration, something camo to represent our military heroes, any symbols that invoke strength and fierceness.}
I went with the Native American option. I have always admired their respect for and spiritual connection with animals. All my impressions of the Painted Horse are connected to Native Americans.
I stamped the horse onto the water colored background then painted it with acrylic paint. I added seed beads and twine to the sentiment and an eagle to the sky.

Awesome - I was waiting to see this one! The horse and eagle remind me of the movie "Spirit", which has always been one of my son's favorites. Beautiful sky background - so free! Love this. Thanks for all you're doing to support HYCCT.

Shannon, this takes my breath away. What a stirring image that is fantastic for today's challenge. If only I could create such a beautiful sky. The horse standing strong in the wind really conveys warrior strength. Thank you for joining us today.

This is absolutely amazing! Your bg turned out beautiful. Fluffy clouds, and a patch of grass for that amazing horse. You can just feel the wind in the air! Beautiful!
