hELLO, here is my teapotters pumpkin card for the October Pumpkin fest! I love this image with those two cute furry critters (bats?) I made little fairy globes to light their way so they didn't get too scared. That pumpkin looks almost alive, don't you think?
Not sure if I am done with this yet...might need a sentiment but I don't know if it will fit in now! Oh well, I can always have one inside! No words really needed anyway right?
I did a squirt and dip bg...ah you say way a minute, don't you mean smack and squirt? No, I am not good at Susie's technique, I always ruin my paper! I just srayed Dylusions AND WATER onto foil then dipped my cardstock in. After it dried I used my Misti to place and stamp the fairy globes in VersaFine (I also over-stamped my image to get really black lines after I colored it, I could do that using my Misti for exact placement before cutting my image out). I then used a bit of bleach on a paint brush to remove some ink from the fairy globes, distressed the edges with purple and added some purple and teal onto the fairy globes. I stamped my image onto my bg because of the little frills I did NOT want to try and cut out then cut out my colored image and glued it to the bg image. That's it!
Thanks for looking!

Jaw dropping spectacular mate!! I don't know where to start. Your Squirt & Dip background looks fabulous and I love the name of your technique! Your little critters and pumpkin look real, your colouring blows me away. The dangley globes complete this perfect creation. Thank you for the great description. Love it all. Xx

Super card, Robin! DARLING image, great coloring! Love the bkgrd--Dyan's sprays are fab--and your fairy globes are delightful. Thanks for participating in the challenge.
RE INKING: I either spray or brush water onto my watercolor paper or cardstock, put it in my empty "inking" box, then spray on the ink, misting or sprinkling water droplets with my fingers. Then I air or tool dry and move on to the same method for the additional layers of color. When I like the way it looks, I let it completely dry. I use it like that or I add distress ink(s) with a distress tool, a sponge, rag, or my fingers to blend as needed, or I sometimes just ink the edges and/or pull the color toward the center. To lighten, I use water. Every time I have used bleach (even the non-scented), the card smells like bleach. I have never thought to spray the ink and water onto foil and "dip" my paper into it. Hmmm. Do you do one color at a time and do you dry each layer of color? Or do you do a squirt of various colors and dip it in all the colors at once? I have lots of brands of ink sprays and don't use them near enough. I would like to try it your way so please let me know. Thx! I can't do Susie's smack and squirt either. Mine ends up a bloody, muddy mess. Hee. xx

Straight into my favourites, Robin; this is enchanting and totally delightful. I'm only on my phone now before work, but I'll be back to look at this on a big screen to admire it more. Your background is fabulous, and your bats are do cute.
