Today's Ways to Use It challenge is to have a punctuation mark on the card. There is an exclamation mark on my sentiment.
I made this for a friend's birthday. She has a young dog with a ton of energy. So she takes to the beach nearly every day to tire her out with endless ball-fetching and swimming and running. This Penny Black dog stamp looks a bit like her, and I coloured it to depict her one white paw and her white belly.
The background is done with blue and natural bister powders - I was trying to get a sense of the water and sand at the beach. I sprinkled the bister, then spritzed with water, and let it air dry.

Susan, your friend is sure to love this card. How wonderful you gave it the white belly and paw, just like her dog. I like your background of water and sand. Super card!

Reminds me of my aunt's dog when she first got her! But the background was what caught my eye at first, it's so beautiful. You really did capture the seaside feel with it so well.

I recognized what you were getting at with that background as soon as I saw it! I too have a young dog with a ton of energy! Love that image and it makes a terrific birthday card! TFS
