Welcome to SCS, and congratulations on your first upload, Susan! And what a great collage card for Halloween! I love the window with the photo of trick or treaters coming to the door! Darling card! I know you'll find lots of inspiration and encouragement here at SCS, and perhaps you might consider joining a challenge found on the Home Page. Looking forward to seeing more of your wonderful work! Hugs!

Thanks so much for your kind replies. I wasn't sure if my cards would be suitable here since I tend to use vintage photographs and
more than stamping and die cuts on all of my cards. If you would like to see what I'm talking about you can view samples of my cards on Pinterest: Look up my name and find my "my cards" board. I will post more cards here if you all think my cards would fit in. Thanks so much, Susan

This is fantastic! And all styles are welcome and appreciated! You would love the vintage photos peeps321 (Polly) uses brilliantly in her cards. So glad you've joined us in the gallery, and keep posting!

The minute I saw your card in the gallery I thought of Polly. I hope you upload more cards here at SCS. Here is a link to Polly's fun gallery. peeps321's Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

WELCOME Susan! Nice altered Halloween card! It has great images, vintage flair and a bit of modern whimsy. I even recognize some of the punches and die cuts you used. I agree that your cat is awesome, too. My first cat was pure black with bright green eyes! Whatever your style, YOUR art is welcome! There is no such thing as "fitting in" when it comes to art. Here on SCS we embrace the various talents and styles of thousands of crafters. As the years have passed, my thought has become 'If you don't want to, don't try to blend, be your unique self ... because nobody does it better!' Everybody has their "days" but the most valuable advice that a kind, caring SC old-timer gave me, is to create for yourself and no one else. Your ART is a success if YOU like it. Comments are nice but don't rely on them for validation. YOUR opinion of your work is what COUNTS! Hope to soon see more of your creations. PLEASE join us for daily challenges. I would especially like to invite you to the Tuesday Teapotter challenge. It's for a great cause and the gals are a caring bunch. Next Tuesday, I am hosting the once-a-month Tickle which is when the Teapotters exchange cards amongst themselves. Next Tuesday would be a terrific day to start! Send me a pm (private message) if you would like more information. You can do this by left clicking on my user name and selecting the pm option. I would be glad to help if I can. Crafty hugs, Gabby

Thank you Gabby for the information and encouragement. I looked at more cards in the gallery that use collage and of course came across many more styles too. I look forward to posting more of my cards. I'll check out the Teapot challenge too. Thanks, Susan
