So this card was an adventure. I started making it for the DRS Designs Color Challenge and my bg looked really cool. Then I stamped on a wheat stalk and it messed up. I had spent so much time on the sponging that I couldn't give up. I kept hearing Susie A in my head (in that Australian accent of course) saying things like just add more ink or smash it into some more ink or add another layer or doodle on some tear drops or something - never throw it away. So I added more ink and stamped another wheat over the first one and it messed up too (my paper was too curvy was the problem - I was too lazy to tape it down). So then I splashed on some water to see if that would help an it looked good but didn't fix the problem. So I decided I would try bleaching out the little ink spot. Wow - I love how it came out but I still had the ink spot. I crumbled the whole thing up thinking I would just give up and throw it away and I heard Susie again. So I flattened it out and scrubbed more black ink all around so the ink spot would look planned. Then I ironed it out flat and loved the result. Thanks for the motivation Susie!!! Lol!

I admire your (and Susie's) determination to MAKE THINGS WORK, even when they seem to be "messed up" - this has an eerie 'glow' resulting from the water drops and/or bleach, plus the scrunching up gives it such wonderful texture!! Terrific work!! Way to go!!

I am so happy that you hear voices in your head too.....ROTFL. Nancy, when I grow up I want to make cards just like you!!! I am beyond honoured to think that you thought of me while creating this fabulous, brilliant, terrific card. DH had just bet me that I can not keep quiet for 10 minutes....I am prepared to loose the bet in order to show him this brilliant, spooky creation.

Good to here that others have days like this too when nothing goes right - and boy did it turn out alright in the end. We are all learning so much from Susie and her fabulous techniques and stories that go with them. Great Effort.
