Over at CCEE Stampers, Lois is asking us to mark Citizenship Day by making a patriotic card or a card indicating your heritage.
I started off with a bokeh background in greens - bundled sage, peeled paint, broken china. After it was all done and dry, I stamped the shamrocks from ODBD May God Hold You in two corners, and coloured them with pencils.
An Irish blessing from the same set is stamped on vellum, with some embossing on the reverse to mimic lace; it's framed with circle die-cuts cut from white card and coloured with a gold pen, and I added a couple of interlocking rings to fill the card out. Wearing a "fainne oir" (gold ring) symbolises that your are able, and happy to, speak Irish! I'm afraid mine is more than a little rusty these days. All edges were stitched to create piercing, and then I added it to a white base with a gold border drawn in.
