This is for Maura's fun colour challenge. I used distress inks, unfortunately the green isn't quite like SU garden green, I hope that is ok.
The colour was applied using Smack & Squirt technique - smack distress ink onto a sheet of al foil, squirt on a LOT of water, then using a foam blending tool, scrub the inky water onto the cardstock.
The owl was coloured by smacking distress ink onto foil, squirt on a TINY amount of water in one corner only, then use an aqua brush to pick up the inky water. This method gives you lots of shades of the one colour.
I picked up the wrong ink for the background stamping. I usually use Archival black, but I used Versafine onyx black. The Versafine is fabulous for stamping over distress inks when stamping silhouette or main images but it is a bit too black for background stamping.
In order to tone the black down and to make the coloured background look a bit misty, I scrubbed a foam blending tool with the remains of walnut stain distress ink.
The little owl was fussy cut and is only adhered at the bottom so he looks 3D. The mushroom border is only adhered to the card along the bottom edge. I swiped some silver ink across the mushroom caps.
Thank you for looking.

I'm sure glad you had time to make a card...it's always a pleasure to see what you come up with for the challenges. This is amazing as always, your mushroom caps look like black iron metal. The owl couldn't be any cuter sitting in the enchanted bg. Fav'd tfs
