This is a card I made for a friend's birthday; she loves birds so I thought this never-seen-ink image would be appropriate.
After stamping and coloring the image, I die cut and positioned it on the embossed background layer and die cut the same oval from the embossed piece and a piece of black cs positioned beneath it. The layer was attached to card base and the image inlaid into the negative space.
I centered the Lacy Oval die around the negative space cut from the black cs and die cut that piece to create the frame. After adhering the frame I added a black glitter border to the inside edge.
To finish, I added the die cut sentiment and a small butterfly embellished with a glitter dot from the border. I added a bit of Wink of Stella to the bird and flowers, and to the butterfly.
As always, thanks for looking!

This image is really gorgeous!! Love how you used nice bright colors for the flowers and lightly sponged the rest of the oval - looks great with the floral oval in black to make it really stand out. The embossing folder makes the BG look 'natural' for this scene and the little butterfly is perfect to finish off the sentiment with a light touch!!
