I was at Loll Thompson's house recently for a fun day of trying different techniques. One we did was spraying cs with various colours of spray, then running it through an embossing folder, and then rubbing Inka Gold over the top of the raised parts. I used one of my pieces for the background of this card.
My focal image is stamped in grey and then heat embossed in a sparkly ep called "marcasite". I used metallic pens to colour the ribbon blue and the sleigh bells silver. It looked a bit too stark so I sponged Distress Stormy Sky around the edges to soften it.
I twisted silver cord around silver ribbon and threaded two metal mini sleigh bells on it for the Ways to Use It challenge "Make It Metal".
All the layers are attached with foam tape so it has nice dimension in real life.
It's also for the September theme "snowflakes and blue" for the SCS Christmas Card Challenge, for the Less is More challenge "sprays", and for the Addicted to CAS challenge "blue".

Oh how super fun to get to play at Loll's house and come home with this fantastic BG!! Wowza! And this image is brilliant. Then you added the darling sleigh bells, I am so in love with this wonderful card. Thank you for doing a card for the Make it Metal challenge!

LOVE your card Susan. That background is just perfect for the holiday-decorated dog! LOVE the added jingle bells at the bottom. And I LOVE that you've added it so there's a larger border of background at the bottom ... great design. Can't wait until we play with art again in a couple of weeks! xx

Oh this is SO delightful! Great image and I love how you have carried on the jingle bell theme with ...yes...REAL bells! That blue and silver background is fantastic and really lifts a classic EF to new heights. You lucky girl to have such a great play mate! :-)

What a FUN day you had with Loll, Susan. Your bg is SPECTACULAR!!! TFS how you did it. Your card is darling with that image. I like how you carried through the jingle bells on a ribbon design by doing them in "real" as an accent on your card.
This card is so adorable, Susan! Very festive and sparkly bg behind that sweet puppy is perfect for a holiday card. Love how you've arranged the strung bells to complement the bells wrapped around the puppy, too.
