I loved THIS TAG that Julia made for one of the DTGD challenges. It was what inspired me to make this card.
I painted some heavy kraft cardstock with blue and green acrylics, and when they were dry, added gesso to soften it. I rubbed the gesso in with a piece of paper towel, adding a more textured look.
I stamped everything, (including a second Tucker on a spare scrap of paper, and then after allowing the ink to dry, I used Inktense pencils for colouring most of it, and Couleur d'Art for Tucker. He has Glossy Accents on his shell, and I added some Stickles to the flowers. I stamped the bubbles in white, and added a birthday sentiment from Verve. To finish, I added it to a kraft base and doodled a white frame around it.

That is a lovely tag and you've captured its essence nicely, Sabrina, while still making it very much your own. This is a really sweet card!
I have a small set of Inktense pencils that I've never yet used. You have inspired me - I guess I will have to break them out soon

I can see why you were inspired by Julia's tag, and the card that ensued is so darn cute! Such a fun background, and Tucker is adorable! I love the doodled border!

What a fantastic inspiration form Julia's tag - love the processes you went through to get this awesome Background look - the stamped bubbles, the doodling, the glossy accents, and the bit of stickles just add to the fun!!

Those bubbles caught my eye right away... I have never seen a stamp like that. You do find the best stamps. The turtle is adorable and the coloring on the flower is lovely. Wonderful colors, and of course I love the white gel pen.

Oh my what a wonderful BG you created. I so need to drag out my gesso and play with it again. It has some amazing possibilities and this card is one to show off one of those possibilities.
