 | | The current ODBD challenge is "Anything Goes with Scripture".
DH often says to me that this, that or the other would be great for die-cutting a motorbike. He said it just the other day after opening a bottle of white wine, and thinking that the gold capsule would make a great bike. I pointed out that personally I didn't have much of an outlet for bike-themed cards, and still had 3 in my stash waiting for him to use, but said that if he would choose a suitable verse, I would make a card for him to send to one of his biker friends.
He did, so I did...
I used distress stain to colour an old page of sheet music, and cut it into hill shapes. They're embossed with a script ef, lightly swiped with a brown pad, and then I sponged the edges with forest moss.
I used yellow acrylic to sponge the sun rays with a stencil; then when it was thoroughly dry, I sponged in the sky with distress inks, and used a damp cloth to remove the ink from the acrylic rays.
I stamped and embossed the verse and stuck down the hills. Then I pleated some paper for the road and stitched down the centre of it. I used the sewing machine to add piercing all round the edge of the card, too, and sponged it lightly with black.
To finish, I added the motorbike, and a bird in flight.
