A big congrats to Judi, the newest Featured Stamper! She has such a wonderful gallery & I didn't have to go far to find THIS beauty to case. I loved the rooster so I kept that & most of the colors, but I used different images, different papers & a different layout.
I know roosters have a lot of color, but until I did an image search, I didn't realize just how colorful they are! I used my Misti to stamp my rooster w/ Memento then colored him with Copics. Since it was still in the Misti, I stamped over him using Versafine & the details just popped! Then I did what turned out to be a tricky die cutting on the image by cutting only the top half w/ a pierced circle and only the bottom half w/ a pierced square. I like how it turned out.
For the top bg, again I used the Misti to stamp the bandana image onto kraft card stock then used a white gel pen to add some tracings around the image.
Congrats again, Judi! Thanks so much for looking! Closeups, Copic colors & the inside are on my blog: The Write Stuff

You did what??? I'm still working out in my head how you die cut half the circle and half the rectangle! You get a 10 for inventiveness! What a gorgeous card - luv it!

This is gorgeous, Julie! I have a couple of rooster stamps, and I can never get the colors right. This card is now in my favorites so I can refer to it the next time I stamp one of those roosters. Your coloring is phenomenal.
What fabulous coloring on the rooster. I especially love that you stamped over it again when you were through coloring. This whole card pops with fabulous color.
Wow! You colored that rooster beautifully! Honestly, I have been afraid to get a rooster stamp because I haven't been certain how to color it, now I do!!! Love the design!
Hello Julie, Wow, what a gorgeous rooster! Your colors are so vibrant and I love the circle and square combo with the piercing! Clever YOU! It really made your image pop! Of course, I love the sunflowers too! Perfect with the rooster! Your paisley paper adds such a warm country feel! Thanks so much for honoring me this week! What a sweet surprise!
