These goodies were sent in the August Envelope from Roxie. We were to make some "back to school" cards. This was one paper that a 4x4 square with the rainbow circle and the apple in the center. I decided to get two cards from this one paper! Very carefully cut the apple out of the center of the rainbow circle.....saving that apple for the card on the left. I used the Washi tape at the top and bottom. The used a little sponging of brown around the edge of the 4x4 rainbow circle paper. Then sponged the hole that was the shape of the apple. Now to use the left over red dp (the Washi tape was around it for mailing)...I used some brown and green to make a leaf and stem. Sort of paper piecing here. Attached the brown and green to the front of the red. Moved it around so that I had a curve to the apple top. Glued the whole thing to the back of the 4x4 paper...then on to the white cardstock.
Card on left: Used the 3 designs of the Washi tape to do the base design and then add the apple that was cut out from the 4x4 design paper. I did do a small amount of brown sponging on the apple. Used a piece of the yellow measuring tape Washi tape on the inside of both cards. Might as well use it all!!!
I gave it a 2 for the cutting out of the apple and the paper piecing. Otherwise, it was a pretty easy design for both!
Now, these will be sent to great niece and great nephew for their first days of school!
Thanks for taking a look!
